Q. What is Tynt Insight? The short version…
A. Tynt Insight does a couple of interesting things: it tracks user engagement on your site by tracking copy and paste activity and automatically adds a link back to your content when it is pasted somewhere else.
Q. Do people really copy content?
A. Our stats show that an average of 6% of page views result in some kind of user action that Tynt Insight can track. What this means is: if your web site has 1 million page views per month then content leaves your site at least 60,000 times per month. Wouldn’t you want to know what and how often it leaves your site?

Q. How does Tynt Insight drive web traffic?
A. When someone copies and pastes text from your web site Tynt Insight automatically adds a link back to the original article and produces a link on the tynt.com site.
Q. How much does Tynt Insight cost?
A. Tynt Insight is free. Ultimately, we plan to offer a paid upgrade but there will always be a free version.
Q. What about user privacy?
A. None of the data that Tynt Insight tracks can be used to uniquely identify an individual user.
Q. Can I use Tynt Insight with my blog?

Q. My site appears to be using Tynt Insight, but I haven’t installed anything. Why is that?
A. We work with a number of analytic partners, to help them collect data for their sites around user engagement. As part of that, you may see traffic go back to tynt.com, if you have one of our partner’s analytic widgets installed.
Q. My anti-virus software has flagged Tyntlite.js as a trojan virus. Should I be concerned?
A. Tynt Insight is 100% safe for all browsers and operating systems. We have been in contact with the anti-virus vendors, who have confirmed that the flagging is a ‘false positive’. We expect the flag to be removed in the next update of the anti-virus software. Please contact us at support@tynt.com if you get a warning message, such that we can further investigate.
